Singapore is an amazing city-country.
Singapore is a garden country! Anyone who enjoys gardens will have a wonderful time in Singapore. Singapore has a world famous orchid breeding program and it is also where the rubber industry in South East Asia really took off. There is a free botanical garden as well a tourist attraction and priced as such, Gardens by the Bay where the famous metal trees are located.
Singapore is a ultra clean and modern looking city. The architecture downtown looks like something out a futuristic movie.
Make sure you see the Merlion which is the mascot of the city.
For inexpensive food head to Little India, an area of town where there are dozens of Indian food stalls serving up delicious food for a very reasonable price.
Singapore is a bit. expensive, unlike a lot of countries in South East Asia where you can still get a nice hostel or a meal for less than $10 USD. Deals can be found but you must look for them. There is a Michelin starred restaurant Liao Fan Hawker Chan in China town you can eat at for less than $15 USD.
It is well worth a visit. It is one of my favorite places so far!
